ECHOVIEW is a powerful, graphical, music calculating tool for musicians, sound engineers and producers.  Designed to work with Windows 3.X, NT, 95 or later.  This freeware, limited version calculates the delay times required to produce different musical echo effects.  A grid provides visual feedback while the advanced metronome helps to get things into perspective at a sonic level.  Support is provided for different time signatures and calculations can be made in various ways.  You can start with a tempo and calculate a delay time, or vice versa. The tap-tempo facility allows you to find a tempo by tapping the spacebar in time with the beat.  The Song Length Calculator facility helps to fit songs into specific time slots and there is also a Stopwatch facility .  Because of its context-sensitive online help, ECHOVIEW is simple to use, even if you've never used it before.

This limited version of ECHOVIEW is FREEWARE, and as such, is NOT subject to restrictions regarding use, distribution and direct copying.  You are free to use it, duplicate it, upload it, download it and generally do what you will with it.  However, elements of the design and implementation remain under copyright protection and you are advised to contact the author prior to any attempt replicate any individual aspects of this software.

  30. 3. INSTALLATION

  32. Before installing ECHOVIEW, you NEED to have a Microsoft runtime file called VB40016.DLL in your system directory.  This is a common file should be readily available from your software supplier.  There is a good chance that you already have it on your system - If you don't, then get it.

  34. When you have VB40016.DLL on your machine ...

  36. Run the program SETUP.EXE and ECHOVIEW will automatically install itself.
